I
am totally against increasing the size of the Senedd to 96 members.
This is ridiculous, Wales is a small country, the present number,
60, is more than enough. They should work harder, or move over so
that others can take their place. They should have less holidays
and less pay, to see whether they can at last understand and
respect their electors. With the country in such a dire situation,
it would be nothing less than a travesty for money to be spent on
this vanity project.
I am also vehemently against changing the election system so that
we vote for parties and not for individuals. This will end
Members’ accountability to their electors and is
unacceptable. Why should we accept party stooges representing us.
People want to vote for individuals of their choice, not some
thickos pushed by parties.
I write as an individual voter, not on behalf of any organisation.
I am a graduate with a higher degree. I do not mind my comments
being published, but do not want my name to be used. Thank
you.
